About the Dead Pixels Society

The Dead Pixels Society, formed in 2009, is dedicated to providing news and information to businesses in the photo imaging industry.

The group began after an InfoTrends conference, where a Microsoft exec talked about “live” pixels – those on screens – and “dead” pixels – those printed. Soon after, the Dead Pixels Society was born, meeting first at the 2009 6Sight Future of Imaging Conference (RIP), an executive-level conference for the photo/imaging industry sponsored by PMA International (PMA). The group continues to meet clandestinely at industry events and conferences, identified by their stylish lapel pins.

The Dead Pixels Society is guided by an advisory board of industry leaders.
