Light introduces “Depth Collective” for photojournalists

Light, the maker of the computational photography camera, the Light L16, announced the Depth Collective, a program to financially support photojournalists using the Light L16 in their storytelling. The company notes the compact Light camera packs the power of a DSLR in a smaller, secure, Android-powered body.

“Our aim is to make it easier for these courageous truth-tellers to capture the stories that need telling. We offer a significant camera discount for all Depth Collective members, as well as several free accessories from Peak Design. Photojournalists in the collective will also have the opportunity to apply for a $5,000 reporting grant to help them pursue an underreported story of importance. By partnering with these visual changemakers, we hope to illuminate some the most complex issues facing humanity today.”
