The National Association of Professional Child Photographers announces 2017 Photographer of the Year

Organization unveils recipient of coveted award, in addition to the second half of the 2017 Image Competition winners

ATLANTA, Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — The National Association of Professional Child Photographers announced today that Ashley Berrie of Ashley Berrie Photography has been named the 2017 Photographer of the Year. This prestigious recognition was determined by total number of points combined from the first and second half of the 2017 International Image Competitions. Honored for attention to detail, exquisite composition and creative perspective, Berrie utilizes natural light and has been capturing children and family portraits since she discovered her love for photography in 2013 when she began photographing her firstborn child.

As in previous years, the winning photographer will have the honor of having his or her image displayed in New York’sTimes Square.

The organization is also pleased to announce the winners of the second half 2017 NAPCP International Image Competition. This year’s competition received more than 700 submissions from NAPCP members across the globe.

Each of the seven 2017 NAPCP International Image Competition winners exemplifies photography’s transformation into an international language. In addition to professional recognition, winners capture priority listing in the NAPCP Member Directory, a medallion, vendor endorsements and NAPCP member points.
