Honoring Four Visionary Photographers, Three Visionary Retailers and the Power of Giving Back

imaging-alliance-celbrate-imaging-event-2017-400x400Held on the eve of CES in Las Vegas, The Imaging Alliance invites you to Celebrate Imaging Innovation by paying tribute to proven leaders in the imaging industry – photographers and imaging makers who are pushing the limits of new imaging technologies, and industry retail leaders who are helping consumers understand the endless possibilities that imaging products can now offer. This event will also celebrate the emergence of The Imaging Alliance as a new force in the industry, with its focus on delivering philanthropic programs that use the power of imaging to give back, and will feature a special performance by Sony Music Masterworks Artists, Tall Heights.     The Imaging Alliance, a non-profit trade organization representing the bold and diverse imaging industry, with a membership that encompasses manufacturers, software and application developers, retailers, and media, will hold their annual awards event in New York City on Wednesday, October 21st. The awards ceremony will be followed by a reception celebration for all in attendance.

    This annual event never disappoints and promises to empower and inspire all who attend. The 2020 Honorees include:

    James Balog, founder of the Extreme Ice Survey (EIS) an innovative, long-term photography program that integrates art and science to give a “visual voice” to the planet’s changing ecosystems.

    Alicia Hansen, founder and executive director of NYC SALT whose mission is to engage, inspire, and empower under-served youth in New York City to reach their full potential through photography, video and an understanding of the visual industry.

    Chris Rainier, founder and CEO of The Cultural Sanctuaries Foundation who has dedicated his life to the documentation and preservation of endangered cultures to find a balance between cultural preservation and economic reality.

    In addition, The Imaging Alliance will recognize professional photographer Michael Corrado and present him the Anthony M. Ruotolo Photojournalism Award. Giving back is what it’s all about for Mike who extends his love and passion for photography to children and families who are facing some of their most difficult times due to illness. Mike is the house photographer for the Ronald McDonald House where he volunteers so much of his time.

    Award winning NYC based photographer, Tony Gale, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for this incredibly empowering evening. Gale has created compelling portraits for a variety of editorial, corporate and advertising clients. Tony is a Manfrotto Ambassador, a Sony Artisan of Imagery, an X-Rite Coloratti and the APA national president.
