German grocery giant Aldi launches personalized photo site with Picanova

German supermarket giant ALDI launched a personalized photo products site, powered by Picanova, at the beginning of the year.

“We wanted to make the use of ALDI photos as easy, flexible and intuitive as possible for our customers,” says Vittorio Rotondo, Director Buying, ALDI Services, ALDI SÜD. “And we succeeded in doing this together with the renowned photo service provider Picanova.”

We are pleased when we can convince our customers with many new products and tried and tested classics in top quality,” says Dirk Rückwart, Director Category Management at ALDI North. “To get to know each other, we offer unbeatable offers and many free products over many weeks.”

In addition to photo books, canvases or calendars, there are many innovative products to choose from at the site, such as Starmaps, photo blankets, fine acrylic prints, or wall cloths. The products are manufactured by Picanova with in Cologne.

The site is being launched with a voucher code promo through Jan. 10. With code NEU2021,canvases (60 x 40 cm) cost only 9.99 euros instead of 31.90, acrylic glass prints (40 x 30 cm) 9.99 instead of 29.99 euros. Wall calendars in digital printing in A3 and A4 are 46 and 49 percent cheaper, respectively. For photo books (A4, hardcover digital printing including 24 pages), customers pay 6.99 instead of 14.90 euros, saving 53 percent compared to the normal price.
