Hong Kong’s Fotomax chooses Taopix for online photo personalization

Taopix, the world’s leading photo commerce and personalization software provider welcome Fotomax of Hong Kong to the ever-increasing Taopix family as they prepare to go live this month.

Fotomax launched their business in 1983 and now operate 65 stores in Hong Kong employing approximately 300 people. They are a full-service business running a successful retail business online and in stores, as well as taking care of most of the product manufacturing themselves.

Fotomax serves all market segments with an emphasis on the consumer market but also the education sector and some B2B business. In this endeavor Fotomax also works with some of the most recognizable brands in the personalization sector, HK Post, Hong Kong Disneyland, Thermos, Schneider Electric, Sanrio and Hasbro, to name but a few.

“Our target market is mainly consumers and in particular parents and families. We chose Taopix because of their tremendous expertise in photo gift software,” explains Alan Lee, General Manager at Fotomax. “We especially like the way Taopix allows us to create and market amazing photo book and calendar products.”

Fotomax will implement Taopix as part of their online experience and in store in their photo kiosks. “We signed the deal with Taopix in April this year and we will go live already this month. It has been a very quick implementation project and Taopix have been very supportive of our professional team here at Fotomax,” concludes Alan Lee.

Taopix operates already for a number of years as the well-established market leader in Asia. Fotomax is the latest addition to a rapidly growing customer base in the region.
