PI CONNECT imaging conference, Pro Imaging Golf move to 2021

Pro Imaging CONNECT, the executive conference for the photo/imaging industry, has postponed its 2020 conference to April/May, 2021, at the Horseshoe Bay Resort in Austin, Texas. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we were forced to postpone Pro Imaging CONNECT and Pro Imaging Golf until spring of 2021.

App news and website updates

PhotoFinale adds two major updates

Photo Finale published two updates to Photo Finale and related sites/services last month. New face mask products have been added to the master product library (if you make your own, there are a number of sizes/types to choose from) and to the Prestige fulfillment program and have been selling well. Also new:
  • Added automatic image rotation upon upload, and fixed some other rotation/squishing issues we were seeing on some creative products.
  • Ability to override payment settings for pickup locations where in-store payment is not possible or desired.
  • Added product options to merchandise products. Merch products allow you to offer non-photo products easily, and now they’re more flexible! Some dealers have been very successful offering frames, film/scan services, preprinted face masks, and photo albums. Here’s how!

Insta360 updates Insta360 desktop software

Insta360 announced a wide range of updates for the ONE R app and the desktop Insta360 Studio software, including Apple-authorized support for ProRes for Insta360 Studio.

ON1 launches ON1 360, ON1 Photo RAW 2020.5, and the ON1 Photo Mobile

ON1 announced ON1 360, ON1 Photo RAW 2020.5, and the new ON1 Photo Mobile are now available. ON1 360 is an end-to-end photography workflow solution to capture, to edit, and to sync photos between multiple computers and mobile devices using the new ON1 Photo RAW 2020.5 and the ON1 Photo Mobile.

Fotomerchant adds password generator

With the new Update Subject Passwords action, Fotomerchant users now have the ability to generate guaranteed unique passwords for each and every one of the subjects in a session without the worry of clashes or duplicates.

Plaza Create reports 3% decline in sales

For the fiscal year ended 31 March 2020, Tokyo’s Plaza Create Honsha Co Ltd revenues decreased 3% to Y23.05B, while net income increased 61% to Y125.8M. Revenues reflect a decrease in demand for the company’s products and services due to unfavorable market conditions, the company said, while the net income reflects Other SGA Expense decrease of 39% to Y1.5B (expense), Advertisement  &Sales Promotion decrease of 25% to Y1.06B.
