Kenosha’s Rode’s Camera Shop destroyed

Rode’s Camera Shop, a downtown Kenosha, Wis,, business for more than 100 years, was completely destroyed in civil unrest Monday, Aug. 31, according to the Kenosha News.  It’s unclear, from the report, whether owners Tom Gram and Paul Willette will reopen the camera store and lab.

Canon Australia to shut down direct-to-consumer website

Australia’s Inside Retailing reports Canon Australia will close its online store and shift its focus back to selling through retail partners. In an announcement posted on its website earlier this week, the company said the online store closure would help streamline its efforts to support local retailers that have been hit hard by the drop in spending due to Covid-19. Inside Retailing added Canon Australia will continue to sell products directly to customers at the Canon Experience Centre and at Sunstudios locations in Sydney and Melbourne.

Popular graphics site Canva has launched templates for photobooks, including printing. Books are available in a choice of hard or soft cover finishes in both square and landscape formats. CNBC: Kodak shares spike as fund takes stake

The shares of Eastman Kodak Co. jumped as high as 65% to $9.87 after D.E. Shaw disclosed 5.2% passive stake in the company. “D.E. Shaw is a quantitative trading firm meaning the stocks they buy and sell are not necessarily aligned with the company’s long-term view of a particular stock. In other words, their new position could simply be a short-term trading bet, ” according to CNBC.

He will lead all Walgreens operations, with responsibility for the development, growth and management of the business, according to Chain Store Age. Standley served as president, CEO and chairman of Rite Aid Corp.
