New photobook company with environmental angle, Printed Memories, launches June 22

A new company, Printed Memories, is launching a line of environmentally-friendly photo books. on June 22. With the objective of limiting the company’s carbon footprint, Printed Memories will plant a tree for every order placed. The average tree creates roughly 15,000 sheets of paper and, by comparison, the average photo book from Printed Memories uses only 85 sheets of paper.

Printed Memories books – coming in hardcover and softcover binding in 9×7-inch and 11×8.5-inch sizes – are geared for family memories and events like engagements, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, holidays, and more.

Users can upload photos from Facebook, Instagram, their desktop, or their mobile device. Company executives say their “one-click process allows users to be creative at the touch of a button,” by reducing the length of time to make a book, compared to traditional sites.

“In a world that moves fast, we’re dedicated to ensuring important moments aren’t missed or forgotten,” says Thomas Phillips, founder and CEO of Printed Memories. “We will do everything in our power to ensure we remain a consumer-first, environmentally-conscious contributor in the printing market.”
