Saudi Arabia’s Freeze My Moment chooses Taopix for online photo gift platform

Newcastle Upon Tyne – 20th September 2018

Freeze My Moment has chosen the Taopix photo commerce platform to launch the first online photo gift business in Saudi Arabia.

Company founders, Hoor Alshubbar and Ahmad Almughallig, carried out extensive market research into photo personalisation software platforms before making the decision to partner with Taopix.

Alshubbar first had the idea for a photo gift business when trying to find a way to print her personal photos. “I spent quite some time looking for a company that I could send my digital photos to and that would print them for me, especially given that I need female staff only. It was when I couldn’t find a way to do this that I realised that there must be many others in Saudi Arabia in the same situation as me,” explains Alshubbar, Co-Founder at Freeze My Moment.

“There’s not really a print at home culture in our country and I figured that there must be so many people out there with treasured photos who want to turn them into something beautiful like a photo book, a canvas print or just simple prints,” continues Alshubbar.

Alshubbar set about researching the equipment she would need to make photo books, calendars, prints and canvases and opted for the best printer and binding equipment as well as the highest quality paper for making hard cover photo books.

“We’re really impressed with the quality of the new digital press and excited to be the first, all female production team in Saudi Arabia. We’re busy designing a stunning range of products that will appeal to women in the 20 to 35 year old demographic,” tells Almughallig, Co-Founder at Freeze My Moment.

“Our web store, freezemymoment.com, will be our primary marketing channel but we also plan to engage with some social media bloggers who focus on family-friendly products. They will be able to help us promote our photo gift range and make everyone aware of what they can do with their photos.

We’re also making all of our products suitable for all screen sizes so our customers can make any gift from a smartphone, tablet or larger screen device. All of our products are designed to be easy to make and should appeal to all types of customer,” adds Almughallig.

Taopix Commercial Director, Steffen Haaga, says, “We’re thrilled that Ahmad and Hoor chose Taopix as their trusted partner for their new venture. We’re really looking forward to being a part of this exciting journey and are very optimistic about the future. Mobile commerce is growing rapidly in this region and, with over 24 million internet users to target, I’m sure Ahmad and Hoor will delight many new customers with their photo products.”
