Futuresource Consulting is estimating the photo-output market value for the top six major Western Europe markets (Benelux, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom) will have 16% projected value growth from 2022 through 2027. The company said 2021 was a challenging year for photo output, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on print-worthy images, while 2022 showed 11% value growth. In 2023, the outlook was for a 6% increase in value, but this was in part due to increases in average selling prices.

By category, in terms of CAGR value from 2022-2027, photobooks will grow 4.7%, photo merchandise (cards, calendars, wall decor and photo gifts) will grow 3.4%, and photo prints will grow 1.8% in the period.
