PRINTING United Alliance launches the Apparelist

PRINTING United Alliance launched a new brand dedicated to the decorated apparel community — the Apparelist. The Apparelist is a channel created by PRINTING United Alliance and NAPCO Media as a voice to connect the apparel decorator community through membership, editorial, custom content, e-learning, video services, research, and customized experiences, both online and in person.

“As the apparel decorating industry continues to change and evolve, our teams recognize that businesses of every size must stay on top of those changes as well as trends and disruptive events,” says Joshua Carruth, managing director – decorated apparel, PRINTING United Alliance. “In working closely with this community to find out how we can better serve their needs and work together toward a successful future in this segment, the concept of the Apparelist was formed. This online forum features engaging resources and services that not only address these changes but offer trusted and reliable insight and information on how to functionally operate their businesses in today’s environment. Our commitment to this community is to be this much-needed genuine and authentic voice of support.”

The Apparelist was created as a way to directly connect the decorated apparel community to the resources at PRINTING United Alliance as well as the other print segments the organization advocates for, which include promotional product distributors, commercial print service providers (PSPs), graphic and wide-format PSPs, and in-plant printers.

Veteran subject matter experts in the apparel decorator space have joined together to support this community:

Carruth, as managing director, is responsible for overseeing and advocating for community needs across the organization’s media, events, and membership business units. He has nearly 20 years of experience with producing immersive, value-driven experiences that bring communities and industries together.

Cassie Green is the senior content editor for the Apparelist, responsible for writing, editing, and curating content on the website as well as the brand’s other media platforms. She has 10-plus years of experience covering the apparel decorating industry. Cassie also works on NAPCO Media’s other brands, including Wide-Format Impressions, Printing Impressions, and Promo Marketing.

Chip Danby is the EVP of the Promo Marketing brand. Working with national and individual promotional distributors alike, he has worked to connect blank apparel offerings to a variety of decoration options, from direct-to-garment to high-volume full-package programs.

Sean Norris is editor-in-chief and content director for Promo Marketing, the Apparelist’s sister brand, and has covered the promotional products industry for 10-plus years. With the Apparelist, he specializes in content connecting the promo distributor and apparel decorator communities.
