Shigetaka Komori, Fujifilm chairman, to step down in June

Fujifilm Holdings Corp. announced Shigetaka Komori, the visionary leader who successfully managed the transition of the company’s business from primarily photographic film to healthcare and graphic arts, announced he will step down as chairman and chief executive in June. Komori, 81, will take a new role as the chief adviser while Teiichi Goto becomes CEO and Kenji Sukeno is the chairman. The transitions are still subject to shareholder approval.

Komori joined Fuji Photo Film Co in 1963 and was appointed CEO in 2003, according to the company.
