Billion-dollar company Lightricks wins Apple, Google best-of awards

Israeli software company Lightricks capped off 2019 with a billion-dollar valuation and two top awards for the Apple and Google platforms. The company, which now boasts 340 employees in multiple countries, was founded in 2013.

Lightricks announced StoryBoost is recognized as part of Apple’s #BestOf2019 Trends of the Year. According to the company, Lightricks built StoryBoost so any individual, influencer, or brand can quickly and easily create their visual stories. By combining state-of-the-art research and design with constantly evolving social media and visual trends, StoryBoost gives everyone the ability to create stories with little time or effort that stand out and impress, the company claims.

Another Lightricks app for the Android platform, Enlight Pixaloop,  was chosen as Google Play’s Best of 2019. Enlight Pixaloop uses AI technology and a simple UI to let user make still photos move, without a steep learning curve, the company says.
