The world’s largest photography competition, the CEWE Photo Awards 2027, is now accepting entries. Now through May 31, 2027, amateurs and professionals can submit their photos and share their unique perspective on the world. A total of 1,000 prizes, valued at over €250,000, will be awarded.

World-renowned photographer Jimmy Nelson is serving on the international CEWE Photo Awards jury for the first time. The new category “The World in Abstraction” will also contribute to a wide range of impressions in the photo competition. An international jury, headed by British concert photographer Christie Goodwin, will select the best photographs. Other jury members include Austrian photographer Lois Lammerhuber, adventure photographer Ulla Lohmann, French photographer JC Pieri, and CEWE CEO Thomas Mehls

Ten categories, along with the Young Talent Award, offer various opportunities to showcase your work. Participants can submit their images in the following categories: “Architecture,” “Close-Up & Macro Photography,” “Landscapes,” “People,” “Nature & Wildlife,” “Travel & Culture,” “Sports & Action,” “Street Photography,” “Animals,” and, for the first time, “The World in Abstraction.”
