Reducing transit times and carbon footprints by fulfilling print jobs as close as possible to any delivery address
Dutch/Danish start-up Cloudprinter.com launches the Global Print Cloud. A brand-new service to order print products like books, business cards, flyers, folders and posters anywhere in the world. With the Print Cloud, customers can place and manage print orders directly from their desktop or from integrated apps and platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Dropbox, Google Drive, Slack, MailChimp and many more. Built on top of the proven Global Print API, the Print Cloud comes with a free-to-go subscription model.
Print orders submitted to the Print Cloud via the desktop application, third-party integrations or API are routed to the most qualified printers worldwide using a smart routing algorithm. The routing is based on price, location, historical performance, production options and shipping.
Cloudprinter.com is convinced that the new service will seriously reduce any unnecessary CO2 emissions caused on a daily basis by printing in one country, and subsequently shipping it to another country, or even to another continent. With more than 150 connected print partners in 104 countries, Cloudprinter.com can route print orders to print partners almost anywhere in the world.
Mogens Winther – CTO: “We are excited that the new Print Cloud will make print ordering greener and easier than ever before, by enabling customers to submit orders directly from a desktop or via the connected apps integrations.”
The pricing model of the Print Cloud competes with the economies of scale concept of sourcing large volumes to one single printing house. Consequently, e-commerce providers, publishers and corporations can remain to offer their customers competitive prices as a result of lower local printing and shipping costs.
Martijn Eier – CEO: “We are changing the print industry and the landscape of global print sourcing. The Print Cloud is an innovative multi-side platform that reduces carbon footprint and takes away the hassle of searching for a qualified printer locally or on the other side of the globe.”
Launched in 2017, Cloudprinter.com is the leading Print API for Web2Print providers, E-commerce solutions and publishers around the world. Located in Denmark, The Netherlands and Ukraine, Cloudprinter.com is building a global network for local printing. The company closed Series A funding in 2018, Series B funding is expected for September this year.
