DNP introduces expanded range of perforated media

ORLANDO, Florida — DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation (DNP IAM) today announced new perforated media options for its DS620A, DS-RX1HS, and DS40 dye-sublimation printers at IAAPA 2018. Delivering brilliant color photos and sharp black and white images, DNP perforated print media is ideal for the amusement and attractions industry roaming photographers, photo booths, and novelty photo operations.

Ideal for photo booths, the new 2” center perforated media features laser-snap perforations allowing for snap-off photo strips as well as the ability to attach a wide range of call-to-action items, and is available for the DS620 and DS-RX1HS printers in 4×6” and for the DS40 printer in 6×8”.

A new 4×6-inch media features a perforation along the right side of the media sheet that offers the ability to create 4×4-inch square prints with an additional 2×2-inch perforated area — perfect for creating an Instagram-style print while retaining a part of the print as a voucher for event promotion. The 4×6-inch perforated media is also available for the DS620A, DS40, and DS- RX1HS printers.

No special print drivers or firmware are necessary, DNP printers recognize the new media as a standard media sheet. A user just needs to set the template to take advantage of the perforations and is immediately ready to go.
