Popular enthusiast site DPReview, which was facing an unceremonious shut down by parent Amazon, has found new life with Gear Patrol. Terms weren’t disclosed. Founded in 2007, Gear Patrol is “an award-winning publication and content studio dedicated to informing today’s generation of consumers about the best products to pursue their lives,” according to the company.

Imaging Resource, the other popular enthusiast site which also recently closed as part of the sale of parent company Madavor Media, continues to be in limbo. PetaPixel has the sordid drama covered here.
