Dutch personalized product maker IXXI debuts new photo album concept. The company, which built its business on modular wall decorations, introduced a book concept where pages can be added or swapped out continually over time. The album features a premium hardcover and is designed as a coffee table book. “It’s something you leave out in the open,” says Thomas Beguin, co-owner of IXXI. “An album you go through together, that becomes part of your home. Just like our wall decoration.”

While people take hundreds of photos every month, most of them never leave their phones. New research by IXXI shows 90% want to do more with their photos, yet 68% leave them unused. IXXI’s research shows that 44% of consumers take more than 75 photos per month, yet 80% never create a photo book. The barriers are clear: 40% say it takes too much effort, while 29% find selecting photos too time-consuming.

“A traditional photo book demands a final version,” says Beguin. “But life keeps evolving. With our album, you don’t have to wait for the perfect moment. You can start right away, and keep building over time.”
