Epson introduces new production printers for graphics

64-Inch Roll-to-Roll SureColor S60600L and S80600L

Epson America Inc. debuted several new printers at Printing United in Dallas, Texas, this week.

Epson America introduced two new 64-inch dye-sublimation printers – the SureColor® F9470 and SureColor F9470H. Designed to offer reliability and high image quality with outstanding print speeds, the new printers are ideal for roll-to-roll textile, home décor, promotional products, and soft signage markets. The SureColor F9470H also offers businesses the option of printing with two genuine fluorescent inks – Yellow and Pink – which brings bright, vivid colors to the production of sportswear, workwear and fashion items.

Epson SureColor F9470 and F9470H

The SureColor F9470 and F9470H leverage a dual PrecisionCore® TFP® printhead and UltraChrome® DS ink technology with high-density Black ink to produce exceptional color saturation and high contrast, the company says. The SureColor F9470H features an enhanced printhead design with fluorescent ink support using Fluorescent Yellow and Fluorescent Pink ink to expand color gamut and applications.

Epson also announced new 64-inch SureColor® S-Series solvent printers with a bulk ink system – the SureColor S60600L and the SureColor S80600L. Enhancing productivity while supporting a low total cost of ownership, the SureColor S60600L features a four-color bulk ink pack system and the SureColor S80600L features a 10-color bulk ink pack system, providing double the ink capacity of previous generations for a remarkably low ink cost per milliliter and minimized waste when compared to Epson cartridge systems, the company said.

The SureColor S80600L is a premium print solution capable of hitting 98.2 percent PANTONE coverage, claims Epson. Both new models offer over 30 percent better ink efficiency than comparable latex solutions, and produce outstanding decals, labels, banners, and more at an incredible $0.165 per milliliter. With included ONYX Thrive and industry-leading reliability, the SureColor S60600L and S80600L make it easy to meet the needs of high-production print environments.

Epson also introduced its first desktop dye-sublimation printer – the 24-inch SureColor® F570  – designed for promotional products and apparel decoration, including personalizing awards, mugs, mousepads, and garment embellishments.

Epson SureColor F570 Complete 24-Inch Solution

The high-performance dye-sublimation printer delivers professional-quality prints using powerful PrecisionCore technology. A true turnkey solution, the SureColor F570 arrives with a host of convenient features to streamline workflow, including specialized transfer paper for both rigid and soft media, a 50-sheet auto-feed tray and built-in cutter, and drivers for both Windows and Mac.

The new printers are on display in Epson’s booth (#5410 and #5610) at PRINTING United in Dallas, Tex. from Oct. 23-25, 2019.
