Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, N.Y., reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $276 million, up 3% from $269 million a year earlier, as growth in its Advanced Materials & Chemicals (AM&C) business offset declining sales in its traditional printing operations. The company reported GAAP net income of $21 million, compared with $13 million in the prior-year quarter, while operational EBITDA increased to $31 million from $29 million. Gross profit improved 7% to $73 million, with gross margin increasing to 26%.
Kodak’s Print segment remained its largest business, generating $165 million in revenue, down 7% from $177 million. More significantly, segment operational EBITDA declined from $8 million to just $1 million, reflecting continued profitability pressures.
“Kodak delivered strong performance in the third quarter, once again achieving year-over-year improvement in revenue, gross profit and Operational EBITDA,” said Jim Continenza, Kodak’s Executive Chairman and CEO. “We continue to execute our long-term plan and are seeing a return on our ongoing investments. Our primary growth engine, AM&C, is now our fastest growing, most profitable unit. Our print business has performed well for the year to date despite challenging economic conditions. And, most importantly, we generated $27 million in cash for Q3, an important indicator of the operational strength of our business. Looking forward, we’re focused on continuing to invest in our core businesses and finishing the year with profitable growth.”
The AM&C segment, which encompasses Kodak’s advanced materials and chemical manufacturing activities, increased revenue 21% to $99 million. Operational EBITDA rose to $21 million from $16 million, making the division Kodak’s largest contributor to segment profitability. Kodak cited higher aluminum and silver prices as pressures on profitability, partially offset by improved pricing and increased sales volume.
Kodak ended September with $317 million in cash, up $27 million from June. Third-quarter operating cash flow totaled $25 million.
