ProAm USA offering new modular filmmaking mounting system for vehicles and dollies

Developed to be a foundation for multiple filming situations, ProAm’s new Modus Mount offers a simple and affordable solution for vehicle magnet mounting, track dolly or table top dolly movements.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (PRWEB) AUGUST 21, 2018 – ProAm USA is a manufacturer of quality and well-designed camera cranes & jib systems, stabilizers and other video equipment for hobbyists and professional videographers and filmmakers. They continue to grow and develop the video equipment industry by offering the most modular and affordable Filmmaking Mounting System for Vehicles & Dollies available on the market today.

Developed to be a foundation for multiple filming situations, ProAm’s Modus Mount offers a simple and versatile solution for vehicle magnet mounting, track dolly or table top dolly movements.

“Every filmmaker knows how expensive and complicated vehicle mounting can be. And switching to other types of shots like dolly or track movements requires a lot of time and effort because each mount is unique,” said Katie Conlon, Director of Communications at ProAm USA. “Our latest mount changes all that by providing users with a modular and expandable platform-based system that can be adapted to many different situations.”

The Modus Mount features a 3/16 inch thick aluminum platform with many mounting holes and thread sizes for accessories. The base kit includes four powerful neodymium magnet mounts that allow the platform to be secured to cars, vehicles and other metal surfaces. Each magnet has a vertical/pulling limit of 40 pounds. The mount can be placed in a low profile or raised position.

“This is an expandable solution for anyone in need of a versatile and solid shooting system,” said Conlon. “It works well with a user’s existing fluid heads and even hi hat risers, seamlessly fitting into a filmmaker’s collection of equipment.”

Options for the Modus Mount include a set of track dolly attachments that allow it to roll along a user’s own curved or straight tracks and ladder dolly type systems. The second option is the table top dolly wheel kit, which feature skateboard style wheels on an axle that can be fixed or rotated for straight and curved movements. Finally, vibration isolating mounts are available for filmmakers mounting gimbals for car and vehicle shots. Users can mount up to 8 isolators and use varying sizes of wires from 3/32 inch to 3/16 inch.

ProAm was founded in 2003. Shortly thereafter, they released the world’s first camera crane that didn’t require any tools for setup. It was also one of the first jibs that could be assembled by one person, establishing the company as an innovative breakthrough-based inventor of the time. Fifteen years later, they’re still pushing the boundaries, and doing it with customer comfort and budgets in mind.
