UPGRD adds personalization tool for photo labs

UPGRD, the Finnish technology company serving the school photography market with background-replacement tech, has launched a new service for photo labs looking to expand services. The UPGRD Art Store lets labs set up dedicated sites where customers can upload a photo and UPGRD’s automated background removal tool isolates the subject. Seasonal artwork can be added quickly, and then the file is ready for printing at the lab. The art store can be tailored to a specific occasion, like graduation (see sample customer here). The site is optimized for mobile use.

UPGRD is not providing printing services; the company takes a percentage of each printed order through the customers’ lab. Set up is free.
