Ad Council PSA highlights the value of printed photos in child’s well-being

Jason is accepted into his new family

The Ad Council has released a PSA underscoring the value to children of visible printed pictures in the home of families. The one-minute PSA tells the story of a teenager named Jason who is adopted by a family. Over time, he sees the inclusion of himself in family photos hanging on a wall as evidence of his acceptance into his new family.

The PSA is reminiscent of the “Pictures Matter” PR and media campaign from an industry consortium, which featured child psychologist Dr. Kenneth Condrell who explained why children need to view printed photos as they grow to enhance their self-esteem and sense of family.
