CanvasPop founder Nazim Ahmed lands $3-million in seed funding for new platform

The Ottawa Business Journal reports CanvasPop founder Nazim Ahmed has landed $3-million in seed funding for a new personalized product venture, Creative Layer, aimed at helping Shopify merchants branch out into the growing personalized products space.

Ahmed’s previous company was acquired two months ago by Circle Graphics. Creative Layer announced, the repott said, secured $3-million in venture capital from a group of Ottawa investors including Shopify co-founder and CEO Tobi Lütke, Celtic House Venture Partners, former Shopify executives Cody Fauser and Adam McNamara, and MindBridge Ai founder Solon Angel. Some of these – Celtic House, Lütke and McNamara – were also CanvasPop investors.
