Kodak Moments has announced a touch-free photo-printing kiosk solution for retailer partners. The touch-free technology is already enabled on the company’s Kodak Moments To Go kiosks and can be retrofitted into current Kodak Moments retail products. To use, consumers scan an on-screen QR code and go through the ordering process on their mobile device. Payment and photo fulfillment are then handled by the retailer as normal.
According to Kodak Moments, a recent study by McKinsey 74 percent of consumers that used safe and contactless check out during the early shelter-in-place periods will continue to use these features in the future, suggesting contactless shopping is here to stay.
“At Kodak Moments, our number one priority and concern will always be our customer’s needs and wants,” said Scott Robinson, director, Strategic Future Products at Kodak Moments. “COVID-19 has caused everyone to rethink how they shop and interact with solutions in-store. We remain dedicated to finding the best ways to serve consumers on their preferred pathways, and this update is another testament to that.”
