ProMaster unveils Jasper camera bag collection
ProMaster announces Jasper, a new collection of camera bags with “unconventional looks, worldly charm, and practical functionality.” Comprised of three sizes—Small Satchel, Medium Satchel, and Halfpack—Jasper bags are available in three stylish colors of semi-soft fabric. Choose from the deep hues of Midnight Blue, the muted depths of Prairie Green, or the classic elegance of Black.
“Jasper is an intentional style departure from our other offerings,” said Paul Orzel, ProMaster’s Director of Product Development. “It’s a beautiful collection of camera bags that don’t look like camera bags.”
Jasper Satchels are slender, courier-style bags holding a sizeable amount of camera gear and accessories. Unique features allow for the silent operation of the bag. The Satchel’s shoulder strap connects to a durable fabric loop sewn into the bag. This system prevents the clinking or clacking of metal-on-metal found in other camera bags. Two sets of anchor points give users the flexibility to wear the bag over-the-shoulder or cross-body.
The main camera compartment is accessible in two ways. A vinyl-coated YKK zipper runs along the top of the bag. Alternatively, unhook the front flap’s metal hooks from the fabric ladder system and fold the flap up and open. Additional accessory storage is located on the inside and outside of the flap. A slender compartment formed along the length and width of the Satchel’s back features three accessory pockets that are ideal for a trail map, filters, cable release, and other slim items. This pocket is accessed without having to open the rest of the Satchel and employs a small magnetic closure.
Jasper Halfpacks are daypack-style bags with enough room for camera gear, accessories, a laptop, and much more. Lined with soft, padded fabric, the shoulder harness system and back of the pack allows for hours of comfortable use. The camera gear compartment is located in the lower half of the bag and is accessible via a secure YKK zipper on the back of the pack.
The upper compartment of the Jasper Halfpack is held shut by two metal hooks that connect to a fabric ladder system. These various loops enable the user to adjust the size of the upper compartment (larger or smaller) to accommodate the contents best. The integrated laptop sleeve fits up to a 16-inch MacBook Pro, and various small pockets accommodate additional accessories.
