Samsung debuts folding smartphones

Galaxy Z Flip3 5G

Samsung Electronics debuted two new folding smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, promising greater durability and better performance than earlier models. The $1,799 Z Fold3 offers an undisrupted 7.6-inch Infinity Flex Display, and the first S Pen support on a foldable device. The Z Fold3 features three 12 megapixel cameras, a 10 MP selfie camera and a 4 megapixel camera under the display.

The $999 Z Flip3 comes in four colors—Cream, Green, Lavender, and Phantom Black—plus new stylish ring grips and strap cases. Enhanced camera features include being able to take hands-free selfies with Flex mode and being able to keep the device folded and capture a quick photo or video right from the Cover Screen using enhanced Quick Shot by double-clicking Z Flip3’s power key. The Z Flip3 has dual 12 megapixel rear cameras and a 10 megapixel front camera.
