ZEISS’ new Batis 2/40 CF has a 40-millimeter fixed focal length, making it ideal for close-ups. In addition, its close focusing distance of just 24 centimeters (9.4 inches), combined with its moderate wide-angle imaging the Close Focus lens (CF) is incomparable for varying landscapes. Additionally, the high micro contrast and initial aperture of f/2 can perfectly depict individual objects.
