At Google I/O, Google previewed Google Pics, an AI image-generation app within Google Workspace that combines the Gen-AI function with editing tools. Previously, if after an image was generated, it needed an additional prompt to reiterate the image. With Google Pic, which is powered by a mix of Google Gemini and Google’s Nano Banana 2 image model, the user just clicks on the area of the image they want to change, then leaves a note about the suggested change. The image then gets updated.
