Content platform Picsart announced participants in its Earn with Picsart program have collectively earned more than $1 million for the video content they create since April. The program offers a deliberate alternative to traditional avenues that have long frustrated creators held back by follower thresholds and closed invite lists.
To date, content made through the program has exceeded 5 billion views and now accounts for 100 million daily views on various social media platforms. Since its debut, the initiative has expanded at a remarkable pace, attracting a global community of more than 80,000 registered creators, most notably across North America (USA and Canada), South East Asia and Brazil – with top creators earning up to $10,000 per month.
As the program expands with an Earn for Brands division, businesses can gain access to a fast-growing global creator network through bespoke, opt-in content campaigns. Creators get the freedom to build as they wish, and brands retain a high level of control and customizability over their experience and what’s permitted for their brand.
“We took a bet that the follower count was hiding more talent than it was surfacing and surpassing the first million dollars earnt in the program shows this,” said Hovhannes Avoyan, founder and CEO of Picsart. “Once we started asking how content performs instead of how big an audience is, brilliant work showed up from people who traditionally may have been gatekept from revenue opportunities. Talent is far more evenly distributed than opportunity has ever been and leveling the playing field is the purpose of the Earn program.”
