Pixelmator Photo app rebrands as Photomator

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Popular MacOS image-editing app Pixelmator Photo is being rebranded as Photomator with version 2.3. Among the new updates are AI-enhanced selective adjustments for subjects, backgrounds, and sky, linear and radial gradient masks, brush selections, and more.

According to a blog post, in addition to making automatic selections, users can also work with customizable gradient masks, select areas based on their color, or simply paint over the areas they want to edit with a brush.

The latest big update for the app was in October, when Clarity and Texture adjustments used a texture-aware algorithm.
