RED announces HYDROGEN “media” smartphone

RED Inc., the company behind the RED digital cinema cameras, announced the Hydrogen described as the “world’s first holographic media machine. In your pocket. No glasses needed.” The unlocked Android smartphone will come in two versions, the $1,595 Titanium and the $1,195 Aluminum.

At this point, details are sketchy, other than the phone will has a USB-C port, takes microSD cards and has a headphone jack. In the announcement, RED does not guarantee the shipping date or the price for those who pre-order.

But, at least it has a headphone jack!
