Roland DG TrueVis

Wide-format printing company Roland DG, announced the launch of the TrueVis MG2 Series, a next-generation UV printer/cutter range comprised of the 64-inch MG2-640 and 30-inch MG2-300.

At the heart of the MG2 Series is a newly developed printhead paired with advanced waveform control technology, delivering approximately twice the productivity of the previous MG Series, the company said. Faster print speeds allow users to increase daily output, improve turnaround times, and maximize profitability without compromising quality.

The MG2 Series incorporates Roland DG’s latest image quality technologies, including improved ink placement accuracy, Variable Dot Technology, and True Rich Color print settings, to produce vibrant graphics, smooth gradations, and outstanding detail.

In addition to standard CMYK, optional Orange and Red inks expand the color gamut and increase Pantone coverage, allowing users to reproduce brand colors more accurately while creating impactful graphics with exceptional vibrancy. True Rich Color technology further enhances output by balancing vivid color reproduction with natural skin tones and neutral grays.

Using single-pass multi-layer printing, which enables up to five layers to be printed simultaneously by stacking combinations of CMYK, White, and Gloss inks, users can create visually striking, high-value applications that combine full color with white undercoats, gloss finishes, and textured or embossed effects, adding greater depth, dimension, and impact to printed graphics.

The MG2 Series printer/cutters feature Roland DG’s integrated print-and-cut technology, which simplifies production and improves efficiency by allowing users to print and contour cut in a single, streamlined workflow.

In addition to supporting integrated workflows, the MG2 Series is compatible with Roland DG and Graphtec cutting devices, allowing businesses to tailor production processes to suit their operations. A newly designed take-up system helps keep media off the floor during print and cut jobs, improving reliability and reducing operator intervention.

Roland DG, the world’s leading provider of wide-format digital printing solutions, also announced the TrueVis AG-640, a next-generation 64-inch latex printer/cutter that expands what is possible with latex printing. Combining low running costs, high output quality, expanded colors, dense white ink, and integrated contour cutting, the AG-640 helps print professionals reduce production costs, expand application capabilities, and take on higher-value work.

Built on Roland DG’s long-standing print-and-cut expertise, the AG-640 is the world’s first latex printer with integrated cutting functionality, enabling users to contour cut and print seamlessly. The AG-640 is particularly well suited for businesses looking to maximize available floor space and efficiently handle a variety of work, ranging from wraps, wallcoverings, banners, and posters to stickers, labels, and decals, where print-and-cut capabilities can help simplify production.
