The Light Co. updates low-light performance in Light L16 camera

The Light Co. announced an update to its Light L16 computational photography camera to improve its low-light performance. The update lets the camera sense a low-light situation, then capture additional images to gather more information. The Light L16 already captures 10 or more images per picture; the update escalates this capability up to 40 images.

We like to think of this new stacked capture feature as a low-light assistant—there to help you take better handheld images in low lighting. Right now, this is only available in auto mode above an ISO of 2000.

The camera also now senses when it is on a level, stable surface, like a tripod, and lengthens the exposure slightly to capture more detail and reduce noise.
