Google Photos adding subscription photo prints

According to published reports, Google Photos is testing a subscription photo printing service, where Google will send the user 10 prints “automatically selected from your last 30 days of photos,” according to 9to5Google. This $7.99 monthly subscription features 4×6 pictures printed on matte, white cardstock that features a 1/8-inch border.

The user can choose one of three themes for their monthly delivery, selected by AI: “Mostly people and pets,” “Mostly landscapes” and “A little bit of everything.” Users will be able to edit photos prior to shipping.

Google Photos print subscription is classified as a “trial program” in the US. Those selected will see a “You’re invited to the monthly photo prints trial” banner to join at the top of Google Photos on the web, according to 9to5Google.

This is the latest in a series of photo-printing enhancements to Google Photos, including print to retail.
