Kodak Moments settles patent infringement action about panorama prints

Kodak Moments, a division of Kodak Alaris, said it settled a patent infringement lawsuit that it brought against Citizen Systems, DNP Imagingcomm and Dai Nippon Printing in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware in August, 2018.

The suit alleged certain printers sold or manufactured by these companies infringed Kodak Alaris’ panoramic printing patents. As a result of the litigation and the mutually agreeable settlement, Citizen, DNP and Dai Nippon have taken a license to Kodak Alaris’ panoramic printing patents, according to a Kodak Moments statement.

“We are encouraged to have been able to settle this matter,” said Nicki Zongrone, President of Kodak Moments. “Kodak Alaris’ Kodak Moments division will continue to defend its intellectual property rights with thermal printer manufacturers.”
