Snap redesigns Snapchat app in bid to stay relevant to users

Snap logoBusiness Insider reports shares of Snap Inc. saw an early boost after details of its new Snapchat redesign was revealed. The joy was shortlived, however, Snap shares dropped about 2 percent. Earlier this year, Snap executives said a redesign was on the way to put personal conversations and content on the left side of the main camera screen, while branded/celebrity content is on the right.

Snap shares have dropped 20 percent below the IPO price of $17.
