Canon debuts first vlogging camera, PowerShot V10 Vlog Camera

Canon U.S.A., Inc. announced the new PowerShot V10 Vlog Camera, the first product in the company’s new consumer video production, live streaming and vlogging line, the PowerShot V camera series. The PowerShot V10 Vlog Camera is anticipated to be available in June for an estimated retail price of $429.99

- 4K UHD 30P, Full-HD 60p
- 19mm wide lens for selfie-taking
- Smartphone-like handling and style with vertical grip, easy for one-handed operation
- 1-inch CMOS sensor lens helps to enable low-noise video quality in dark areas
- Webcam capability (UVC/UAC), horizontal only
- Live Streaming via Camera Connect app
- Auto upload of content via image.canon
- Face-tracking AF designed to automatically detect and autofocus on a person’s face
- Image stabilization
- Two high-quality stereo microphones and a third microphone for background noise reduction
In related news, accessory maker SmallRig announced a Cage Kit for the Canon PowerShot V10, which includes a Cage, Furry Windshield, two Cold Shoe Adapters, a Silicone Lens Cap, and a Storage Bag. The form-fitting, high-strength metal cage has built-in silicone pads for a secure fit and added protection. And the slide-in design with a quick locking system makes it fast and easy to attach. The Furry Windshield for Canon PowerShot V10 can be sold separately for $13.90, while the entire Cage Kit for Canon PowerShot V10 is available for $43.90.
