Photo enthusiasts from all over the world can submit their best shots to this year’s CEWE Photo Award – the world’s largest photography competition – until May 31, 2025. This year, special highlights await all participants: In addition to the main prizes, there will be exclusive jury prizes for the first time.
With the introduction of the jury awards, CEWE is breaking new ground – and placing even greater emphasis on the passion for photography. The jury is approachable, interactive, and willing to share their expertise with the participants. This approach makes the CEWE Photo Award 2025 a competition with real added value thanks to inspiration and direct appreciation from renowned photography professionals.
Highlight at lofty heights: Helicopter flight with George Steinmetz
The top winner of the CEWE Photo Award 2025 can look forward to a particularly special prize: First place includes a photo trip worth 10,000 euros, including a helicopter flight and a photo workshop with professional photographer George Steinmetz.
Experience Sicily’s volcanic landscape up close with Ulla Lohmann
The young generation of photographers between 16 and 25 years of age, who can take part in the competition for the first time this year as part of the special “Young Talents Award”, also have a great incentive to win: the top finisher will go on a photography trip with Ulla Lohmann in a helicopter over Mount Etna, Sicily’s active and fascinating volcano.
Extra chance for everyone: With Christie Goodwin in the photo studio
Jury president Christie Goodwin offers a special experience. For the first time, she is awarding a very personal prize: a day in the photo studio with the star photographer. The winner will have the opportunity to plan and implement a personalized photo project with Goodwin, and document it as a high-quality CEWE PHOTO BOOK.
“I’m thrilled by the quality and commitment of the participants,” says Goodwin. “This award is my way of expressing my appreciation to everyone who participates—and personally accompanying someone on their photographic journey.”
Here’s how it works: Participants upload their photos to the CEWE Photo Award as usual and add the keyword “Goodwin” to the image description and she will personally select the winning photo from all submissions with this keyword.
