Gelato, the platform for local on-demand production, announced Aarthi Ramamurthy and Jessica Dannemann as new members of its Board of Directors.

Ramamurthy’s career spans roles across companies including Netflix, Meta, and Microsoft. Currently serving as the Chief Technology and Product Officer at Rithum, she has profoundly impacted ecommerce ecosystems through her visionary leadership and ability to enhance product experience in innovative technologies. Aarthi’s active participation and experience scaling tech companies primarily serving the global creator economy, positions her to guide Gelato’s further penetration in this space. Ramamurthy is also the co-host of the Aarthi and Sriram Show, where she’s hosted Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and other business leaders, CEOs and founders.

Dannemann, now spearheading partnerships at Optimizely and formerly serving as CMO, brings a rich international perspective and extensive experience in the enterprise software sector. Her insights on marketing and partnerships for SaaS companies will be pivotal as Gelato expands its customer acquisition strategies to better solve the needs of enterprise software companies. Additionally, she will play a role in shaping plans to further educate the global market on, and further commercialize, GelatoCreate and GelatoConnect.

In the last year, Gelato has experienced significant momentum. In 2023, more than 45,000 creators ordered from Gelato for the first time, gaining access to a global market within minutes. Additionally, the company launched GelatoConnect, an enterprise software for print production facilities that connects procurement, workflow, and logistics to optimize print producers’ efficiency, quality, and profitability. More than 100 global print producers leverage Gelato’s software to produce micro orders. The inclusion of Aarthi and Jessica to the expanded Gelato team brings proven expertise to priority objectives in the company’s near-term and long-term plans.

The board also acknowledged Nicole Vanderbilt who is stepping down from the board. With her background in companies including Google, Etsy, and Bookshop.org, her expertise has been significant in enhancing Gelato’s growth in the e-commerce space and beyond. Nicole’s contributions will leave a lasting impact on Gelato’s direction and success.

“With the addition of Aarthi and Jessica to our board, Gelato is poised to push the boundaries of what’s possible in advancing the shift to local, production on demand,” said Henrik Müller-Hansen, Founder and CEO of Gelato. “Their diverse experiences and shared commitment to innovation will be invaluable as we continue to drive growth and deliver on our mission to rethink how our world produces.”
