June 26 – Photo Imaging CONNECT: Print Production Networks webinar
The Dead Pixels Society, the photo/imaging industry’s leading news source, held the Photo Imaging CONNECT Print Production Networks webinar, on Wednesday, June 26, featuring presentations from Cloudprinter, Gooten, HelloPrint, Photo Finale, and Sensaria.
- Martijn Eier, CEO, provided an overview of Cloudprinter, as a venture-capital-backed global print platform connecting print buyers and print providers in 104 countries.
- Kathleen Weng, vice president, strategic operations of Gooten, described the new offerings of the OrderMesh solution from Gooten, integrating with thousands of SMBs and more than 70 print vendors.
- Hans Scheffer, CEO and co-founder, of HelloPrint, shared how the company has grown in Europe to more than 31 countries, with a pure e-commerce model. HelloPrint has around 200 network partners.
- Steve Giordano, president, of Photo Finale, described how Photo Finale offers a full-stack offering, both as white-label website/kiosk/app supplier and marketplace.
- Christopher Young, senior vice president, sales and marketing, of Sensaria, laid out the various brand entities within the Sensaria family, including JONDO, Bay Photo, and World Art Group. He explained the new OnePoint API, which streamlines print-on-demand order management through the API and online portal.
The webinar also featured a question-and-answer session with audience participants, with topics ranging from the impact of AI on the category, the hot products in different regions of the world, and the boom from content creators and personal brands into the personalized product space.
March 25-25 Photo Imaging CONNECT at Dscoop Edge Indianapolis
The Dead Pixels Society returned to the Dscoop global conference. The society hosted a Photo Imaging CONNECT mini-conference track at Dscoop Edge St. Louis World Expo, March 24-27, 2024, at the America’s Center conveniently located in the heart of downtown St. Louis, Mo.

The Dead Pixels Society returned to the Dscoop global conference. The society hosted a Photo Imaging CONNECT mini-conference track at Dscoop Edge St. Louis World Expo, at the America’s Center conveniently located in the heart of downtown St. Louis, Mo.

Photo Imaging CONNECT at Dscoop Edge Rockies, The Dead Pixels Society hosted four 45-minute sessions at Dscoop Edge Rockies! We will be hosting four 45-minutes sessions at Dscoop Edge Rockies conference at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center.
2021
The Photo Imaging CONNECT virtual conference, held May 4-6, 2021 ,brought together participants from around the world. More than 150 industry members from around the world signed up, with about one-third signing in at any one time.
Entrepreneur Matt Sweetwood led off the event with the motivational address, “Successful Business is All About You.” He was followed by a two-part presentation by David Haueter of Rise Above Research regarding “The U.S. Photo Print Market After COVID-19” and “The U.S. Photo Merchandise Market Trends and Opportunities.” Ed Lee of Rise Above Research described “The Role of Aspiring Photographers in the Future of Photography.”
On day two, the focus shifted to Western Europe and to video apps. Jeremy Wills of Futuresource Consulting presented “Photo Prints to the Rescue. The Revival of the Western European Photo Market” via a pre-recorded segment. Hans Hartman of Suite 48a presented “Video creation apps: What is driving the market.” Hartman also hosted a “AI in Imaging” session, providing an overview of the areas where artificial intelligence is making the most impact in the imaging world. He was be joined by Brad Malcolm, co-founder and president, EyeQ, creator of Perfectly Clear, who outlined how the company is bringing AI to its photo enhancement portfolio.
The concluding day featured Don Franz, publisher of Photo Imaging News, who described market trends in Asia, including China, Japan, India and more. The event concluded with a presentation by Aaron Day, global partnership lead at Canva, who will showcase how personalization and graphic trends are driving business. He also announced the Canva Design Lab, which brings the functionality of Canva’s powerful graphics tools to in-store environments.
