Pixami achieves SOC 2 compliance for yearbook software

Yearbook software company Pixami, which was purchased last year by Nationwide Studios, continues to aggressively roll out updates. The company announced it has achieved SOC 2 Compliance, the stringent cybersecurity standard. SOC 2 Compliance is a compliance framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to help service organizations demonstrate they have effective internal controls in place to protect sensitive customer data, focusing on security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. SOC 2 is built around five Trust Services Criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
The SOC 2-Compliant platform will launch for the 2025-26 school year and include a new privacy and security policy, a clearly outlining protections in place and accessible directly within the software, and a video guide for schools called “Why It’s Important, and Pixami’s Commitment to Compliance.”
