ImagingExecutives@PHOTOPIA, the executive-level innovation conference taking place Sept. 20, 2023, at the Hamburg exhibition on the eve of PHOTOPIA Hamburg, announced its conference schedule. The event is held prior to the PHOTOPIA Hamburg exhibition to avoid scheduling conflicts.

From around 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., top-class speakers will address current opportunities and challenges in the imaging market under the motto Generative Business Intelligence. In the opening keynote, Dany Lyons, author of the book “Healthy Happy Rich – Dialogue with an Artificial Intelligence”, will present the opportunities arising from the new technologies in a practical way. In his presentation, he will encourage entrepreneurs to think beyond traditional boundaries in order to open up new business areas.

Thomas Mehls, who is on the Board of the Gold Sponsor, Cewe, responsible (among other things) for marketing and sustainability, will outline how the intelligent implementation of sustainability concepts contributes to the future economic viability of the company. Haluk Özdemir, Customer Success Manager at GfK, will explain how artificial intelligence can be used in market research, but will also examine the associated challenges and discuss the limits that must be observed. How AI technologies create added value in Canon consumer products is the topic of Guido Krebs, Channel Manager, ITCG Marketing Management at the Gold Sponsor, Canon Germany.

Marilyn Repp, deputy managing director of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrums Handel at the HDE and host of the podcast “Future of Shopping”, talks about how owner-managed retailing companies can continue to leverage their strengths in a future when innovations such as the Metaverse, blockchain technologies and the Web 3.0 will redefine the rules of the game. Nebojsa Savicic, co-founder of Plainly, a startup based in London (UK) and Novi Sad (Serbia), will present a technology that enables school and event photographers as well as imaging service providers to automatically create professional videos from numerous photos or even texts to generate incremental sales. (Savicic was a recent guest on the Dead Pixels Society podcast.)

How photos can be edited individually and automatically in real-time with the help of artificial intelligence while maintaining the individual styles of their users is the topic of Simon Diegmann, co-founder & CEO of the startup Neurapix. The presentation by the PR specialists, Melanie Rudolph and Kai Stadelmann from rtfm, will highlight the current trends in influencer marketing, the concept of ”content creation“ and the importance of experience-based PR.

Concluding the program, Ringfoto Managing Director Thilo Röhrig will talk with Thomas Blömer, publisher of imaging+foto-contact and organizer of ImagingExecutives@PHOTOPIA, about intelligent concepts for photo retailers.

While most of the speeches will be delivered in German, simultaneous translation will be available.
