Sri Lanka’s Jam Photo adds Taopix online
Taopix announced that customer Jam Photo in Sri Lanka has expanded with the addition of Taopix online. Jam Photo aims to launch their online editor in early 2020 and will sell the same wide range of photo-gifts that is currently available in their desktop version including personalized clocks, tiles, glass photos, and photobooks.
“Our company was founded in 2013, and we purchased our Taopix desktop license the following year,” says Ashan Abeyesundere, CEO for Jam Photo. “We loved that Taopix had both online and desktop versions, this was imperative for our long-term growth strategy. Our customer base has been a combination of professional photographers, hobby photographers, and some consumers. In 2019, our goal was to increase our B2C business. We started focusing our marketing efforts on digital channels and soon recognized that the time to expand to an online platform had come.”
Jam Photo are the two-time winners of the Sri Lanka Print Awards (2016 & 2018) in the digital printing category and are known as leaders in photobook production for this region. They have 25 employees in their premises-based just outside of Colombo city center.
“As part of our decision-making process, we considered many software providers,” says Abeyesundere. “Our relationship with Taopix, their continuous innovation, outstanding support and ongoing training programs made adding the Taopix online license an easy decision for us.”
“Sri Lanka has been one of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia and Jam Photo has been the trailblazer for realizing the potential of a strong consumer market for personalized photo products,” says Harshad Ghude, Business Development Manager for Taopix in the APAC region. “We are thrilled that they have chosen Taopix once again and we have no doubt that this will strengthen our relationship with them. The team at Jam Photo have always been very professional in their approach and we look forward to working with them closely to meet their launch date.”
