WPPI moves to August
WPPI 2021 dates have been rescheduled to Aug. 15-19, 2021, the Mirage Convention Center in Las Vegas, citing “on-going COVID-19 pandemic and the associated government restrictions and limitations on large gatherings and travel restrictions.” Last held in February 2020 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, WPPI was scheduled for March 7-11, 2021 at the Mirage.
The statement is reproduced below:
“Each year, thousands of professional and aspiring photographers and filmmakers attend WPPI to learn from experts, experience the latest equipment and services and network with a community that shares their interests. We miss our in-person events so deeply, however because of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and the associated government restrictions and limitations on large gatherings and travel restrictions, both domestically and internationally, we are rescheduling WPPI’s live event for August 2021. Originally scheduled for March 7-11, 2021, the event will now be held August 15-19, 2021 at the Mirage Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.
“Our goal is always to support, inspire and celebrate this remarkable community, but after consulting with our partners and supporters, we secured dates in August to provide our community the time to effectively plan their participation during these challenging times. The WPPI team is focused on continuing to serve our industry, creating ways to connect, and working closely with our community to provide the necessary support and information to prepare them for a successful 2021 event.
“We will provide updates for the August event as they become available in the next few months. If you have already registered for WPPI 2021, you will receive an email about transferring your registration to the August event. Because of this shift in dates, the call for entries period for WPPI The Annual – 16×20 Print, Album & Filmmaking competition will be shifted to align with Live Judging at the August event.
“For all exhibitors who have made deposits for the in-person event, WPPI will provide options and communications will be sent in the next few days.”
