MARINA DEL REY, CALIF. (PRWEB) MAY 02, 2019 – Tamrac today launches Tamrac Traditions, a line of camera backpacks honoring the company’s proud legacy of innovation, with two vintage style bags: Runyon and Pasadena. Both backpacks are designed with modern storage features and can safely carry two cameras and multiple lenses as well as accessories.
CEO Trevor Peterson came across one of Tamrac’s legendary backpacks in the design archive – the #787 – that brought back strong memories. “Growing up, this was the bag I always wanted. So, I decided to update this historic design with features for the modern era of mirrorless systems and tablets. We also found designs for a camera bag version of the classic 1980s schoolbag. Together, they are the start of Tamrac Traditions, a line where we see a lot of potential in both domestic and international markets.”
The Pasadena is the spiritual successor to the legendary #787 but is completely reworked with modern, lightweight materials and detailed, rugged construction. The backpack fits multiple mirrorless camera bodies, lenses up to 15″ long, flash units, laptops and tablets up to 13″, in addition to the necessary accessories.
The Runyon is a throwback to the traditional school bag and is the ideal casual photo backpack for hiking a favorite trail or for an impromptu photo shoot around town. The Runyon can carry a compact mirrorless camera, multiple lenses up to 5″ long, a flash unit, tablets up to 11″, and all of the necessities. Rear panel access for the camera compartment provides an extra layer of protection for the camera gear. The dividers can also be removed to carry multiple water bottles, books, food, or anything else.
“We have received a tremendous response to the Traditions backpacks,” says Peterson. “In the Pasadena, longtime Tamrac users now have a modernized bag for their current gear that references the brand’s classic style. For photographers new to Tamrac, the retro-inspired Runyon provides a stylish way to carry their camera gear, accessories, and anything else. We are proud of our four decade history and look forward to adding to the Tamrac Traditions line in the coming years.”
Runyon and Pasadena are available exclusively on Tamrac’s newly updated website: http://www.tamrac.com
