Canon releases production version of EOS webcam app for Windows
Canon USA Inc. released the production of its EOS Webcam Utility software. Now Canon users can officially make a $2,000 camera rig behave like a $79 webcam. The beta version was downloaded more than 700,000 times since April, the company said. The company also revealed a macOS version is in development.
A total of 42 Canon EOS and PowerShot cameras, including the new EOS R5 and EOS R6 cameras, are compatible with the full production software. The complete list of compatible cameras includes:
