DNP releases IDW520 all-in-one passport, and ID photo printing system
DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation (DNP IAM) launched the IDW520 Passport and ID Photo Solution, designed to produce passport and ID photos complying with strict federal regulations and add an easy, highly profitable service to any photo business or retail store.
The IDW520 system contains DNP’s smallest and lightest passport printer, weighing just 13 pounds. This all-in-one solution includes a Panasonic FZ80 Camera, FlashAir Card, Touchscreen monitor, and the ID Photo Printer.
“Offering ID photo printing is one of the most profitable services that a retail store or photo business can offer,” says Shinichi Yamashita, President of DNP IAM. “One of the hardest parts about offering passport and ID photo services is ensuring your customers walk away with a photo that meets all of the requirements. With the new IDW520, businesses have everything they need to deploy a new ID photo printing service right away, including the software that helps make adjustments to photos based on these regulations. On top of that, the solution is compact and user-friendly, so retail stores can easily add the new IDW520 to their already existing photo service areas.”
The solution supports and produces IDs for 17 different countries, including specialty ID templates. Using a faster image processor and six built-in image checks that adjust the head, size, position, tilt, crop, and more, the IDW520 helps ensure passport photos will meet the strict federal requirements, the company says. The software also creates a gallery of the past six photos taken, allowing for easy reprints or template changes without the need for the customer to take another photo.
The new IDW520 produces the same high-quality dye-sublimation images that DNP photo printers are known for. ID photo printing makes it easy for businesses to increase their revenue and provide customers with an essential service.
