Altamonte Springs, Fla (PRWEB) March 08, 2017 – E-Z Photo Scan, the leading marketer of desktop photo-scanning systems, has exceeded 250,000 free scans at the RootsTech conference since 2014. At the latest event in Salt Lake City, more than 80,000 precious family images and documents were scanned at no charge for RootsTech attendees. Laid end-to-end, those 250,000 scanned images would cover the distance between Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, MD.

Now in its seventh year, RootsTech is the world’s largest family history gathering, featuring 12,000 conference attendees from 43 countries, plus another 30,000 attendees at he public Family History Day. In addition, 100,000 viewers watched live-streamed RootsTech events.

“This was the first event of the year-long program to ‘Digitize Your Family Photos’ and it was a big hit,” says Richard “Rick” Lippert, president, E-Z Photo Scan. “We offered several professional Kodak Picture Saver Scanners, SlideSnap 35mm slide scanners, and the new SlideSnap X1 auto-slide scanner, as well as the very latest Zeutschel Scanners powered by Scannx Software for digitization of books, manuscripts, or other cultural heritage.”

RootsTech attendees were especially interested in the new E-Z Photo Scan rental program, which offers convenient weekend or weeklong rental of Kodak Picture Scanners and accessories.

While at RootsTech, Lippert and the E-Z Photo Scan team visited the new 14,000-square-foot Layton, Utah, FamilySearch center, which opened in November, 2016. The center is under the direction of co-directors Lyle R. and Linda M. Elmore. E-Z Photo Scan donated three Kodak Picture Saver scanning units to the center.
